Andrew is responsible for leading Evolutionary Tree’s client relations functions and business development efforts across multiple institutional channels and networks.

Biography

Andrew Taylor, CFA, joined Evolutionary Tree Capital Management in 2023 and serves as Director of Client Relations. Having spent his 30+ year career in the investment field, Mr. Taylor has direct experience and in-depth knowledge of client service, firm growth, best practices, as well as research and portfolio management. Most recently, he spent 13 years at Cumberland Partners, an outsourced marketing and consulting firm which he co-founded, establishing and growing sustainable relationships across numerous institutional channels on behalf of several exceptional high-quality investment firms. Before founding Cumberland, Mr. Taylor was a founding principal at SouthernSun Asset Management (formerly Cook Mayer Taylor) for nearly 20 years, serving as President and was responsible for client relations and business development. His duties also included investment research, portfolio management and supervision of trading and compliance. Mr. Taylor was the Co-Portfolio Manager for the New River Small Cap Fund, predecessor of the SouthernSun Small Cap Fund, from its inception in 2003 until 2008. Mr. Taylor brings broad-based experience across client relations, business development, as well as research and operations, which position him to provide leadership and assistance in building Evolutionary Tree over time.

Mr. Taylor graduated from Baylor University earning his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance & Marketing (1986) and his Master of Business Administration in Finance (1987). He also earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation (1993).
